GameSage and GameMasterAssistant Terms of Service

This is a separate Terms of Service for all GameSages and GameMasterAssistants. If you fail to follow these rules, you will be stripped of your tags. If you are thinking of applying for a position in staff, read these carefully to be sure you can fully comply, before submitting your application.

Definition of a GameSage: A player who volunteers and is chosen from among the applicants to serve as a role-model and peace-keeper for the communtiy, functioning as the admins' eyes and ears within a server. They are to make sure server rules are followed at all times, complete and send reports to the GMs, settle disputes, answer questions, help complete trades/transfers, and police Trade when necessary. They must always be beyond reproach or criticism, treating all players with respect and courtesy. GS's are considered to be 'in training', in which if the member is successful then they will be promoted to GMA.

Definition of a GameMasterAssistant: Everything stated above for GSes, with additional responsibilities. A GMA is a player who is trusted completely by the GMs, is in contact with the GMs outside of the game via personal contact, and is entrusted by the Admin to run the game in their absence, contacting them in the case of an emergency. They are the Admins' hands and feet, performing tasks that do not need actual GM attention, and the running the errands that may be done by a non-admin player, so that GMs may have more time to put into development of the server. They are also the heads of the GS team.

These are the basic rules a GS/GMA must follow:

• A GS/GMA is to be treated with respect, and is to treat others respectfully. It is a voluntary position, and puts you at a higher standard than regular players. Being a GS/GMA does not make one better than regular players.

• A GS/GMA is to be friendly, outgoing, and personable at all times. If you're stressed or tired or not feeling well, tell your fellow staff and take a breather from the game.

• A GS's/GMA's job is to help the players, first and foremost. All personal gain and/or advancement will be set aside if a member of the community needs your help.

• GSs/GMAs may never bash, flame, or insult another player in any way. Doing so, if caught and proven, will result in immediate dismissal from the position. Just because a staff member is on a non-tagged toon, does not make them suddenly exempt from this rule. If you break the rules, you will be punished accordingly - a tag does not prevent this.

• When it comes to abilities, GSs/GMAs are regular players just like everyone else. They can't spawn mobs, create items, ban or silence anyone, or anything else that a normal player can't do, so please don't ask. GMAs are given the items necessary to do GM Links for players, if the GM's are too busy to handle them personally. These items are for GM Links only, and if caught using these items for personal use, will result in all items confiscated and their tags stripped.

• All new GSs will be on a probationary trial when they are first tagged. Any GS who is reported and/or has a generally negative review during this trial period will have his/her tags removed. After this trial, they will be promoted to GMA.

• GSs/GMAs may PvP, of course, but may not participate in any of the usual banter between players. This goes against being respectful to all players. If you feel the need to spout off at someone, do it with friends or in private chats if it's a must. We know tempers get high, but as a position of authority it is unprofessional to let your temper get the best of you.

• A GS/GMA may not show favoritism to any group, be it a faction, a guild, a party, a race or religion, or any particular players. They must always be completely impartial, and fair to everyone equally.

• To be a GS/GMA, you must have significant knowledge of the game and SoE specifically, so get to know your maps, quests, mobs, and drops.

• GSs/GMAs must be active in and loyal to their server. This includes logging in daily whenever possible, or leaving notice when they can't. Prolonged absence without explanation will not be tolerated.

If a GS repeately transgresses against these rules, he/she will be dismissed from his/her duty, and another GS will be chosen in his/her place. If a player sees a GS breaking any of these rules, please take a screenshot or video and send it to another staff member to be dealt with.Message for Staff Admintayson32022
